Ge Oven Door Lock Problem

Push it in until the oven cavity light goes off indicating that the oven believes the door is closed.

Follow the power supply that attaches to the wall and unplug the power. If that does not unlock the door run a short self clean cycle 1 2. Range oven door won t unlock. It will look like a small black post or dowel.

Push the door down to lock the hinges in place or replace the screws. Slide out the bottom drawer and look under the oven for the springs between. Now move the oven out from against the wall gently. Check the door springs to see if they are broken.
